Week 4 day 2

hmmm so this was last week Wednesday...
managed to wake up extra half an hr early for sit ups. went ok...may be mornings work better than evenings...
so it was like 21 + 24+18+18+27

Back again Week 4 Day1!

Been super busy last week... couldn't update here but third week was little bit challenge...and now i am in 4th week...

Monday after work headed to health club regular 40 mins elliptical and when got home i litterally had to drag myself for my week4 day 1 schedule but any how...managed it

18 +21+17+15+25

confession to make here is last set - last 5 reps were not as good as others...wanted to get it over soon and get my dinner ready...

No clue what I am doing with push ups since I have been slacking. So I did what I could 13+7+7+4 but trying to get much deeper push ups. It is all about quality over quantity... Right?

I am a slacker!

With a few long nights and not much sleep, I haven't done much of anything this week. I did get out for a bit over an hour on the bike... a little more than 16 miles, the last couple with Barry. Talk about a perfect day for a ride. Next to get back to the challenges at hand. I should be able to focus a bit more in Blaine next week.

Sorry for late update...

Week 1 Day 3

was good some cardio on Sat morning and in evening sit ups as
6+7+6+6+15
trying to do little extra in last set...I could do second column but don't wanna change the plan much so sticking to 1st column and try to do extra as I can...its not painful any more...

Week 2 Day 1

Monday evening usual cardio and 6 + 9 +6+6+15. I am doing my sit ups on floor this week no noticeable difference....
I can feel only in upper abs...need to do something for lower abs to balance....

Push ups or no push ups... hmmmm

Yesterday was pretty much a rest day. A super easy 25 min on the stationary bike, just to say I did something. Today... I am really dreading push ups. I started with alternating sets of sit ups and squats. 21+21+15+15+30 sit ups and 19+19+15+15+105 squats. Very short rests as I did sit ups, squats, sit ups, squats etc. I took a bit of a rest and made myself do the push ups 12+13+10+10+15. They are better than the 1st time through the challenge but those last few are still shaky. How do those guys just drop and crank those out? Oh well, week 2 of the push up challenge done. Week 2 day 1 of the sit up and squat challenge logged.

Barely making those pushups...

... but at least I am done. Pushups 10+12+9+9+13 Situps 17+22+14+14+30 and squats 15+20+13+13+100

Finally... my bike....

It wasn't super long, technical or fast but I got my bike out the door and got a few miles in last night. I know I was grinning like a little kid I was just so happy to be out there. The RockRun trail was amazingly busy. Runners, walkers, bikers, skaters, kids, dogs.... It was a beautiful thing. Do I really have to do pushups tonight? Can't I just do extra squats? No huh? ooh well

Week 1 Day 2

The next day after first day wasn't too bad...but late in the evening it was getting a bit achy, couldn't cough or breath deep...as expected :)

2nd day in evening went to Health club on the way home...
45 mins elliptical and some circuit training for legs...
was real tired by the time I got home and then cooked dinner so postponed the sit ups for next day morning.

Got up early morning even today it wasn't bad 5 + 6+5 + 10 + 10
Thought of doing little extra was suppose to do 5+6+3+5 + max(at least 6) .
I am thinking to try floor crunches next week.

Tues March 9th

A nice run with Kathy. I couldn't wait to get out the door. When I got home set to work on my Pushups, (week 2 day 1) 9+11+8+8 and then 7. I had to wait a few extra minutes to get the las 11 out. I think I may be repeating week 2.

Next situps(Day2 week1) 15+18+15+15+26 and squats 13+16+13+13+75. The squats are not that tough for me. I go slow, and deep and stopped more out of boredom that not able to go on.

Finish with 30 minutes easy stationary pedaling while I stared longingly at the Trek that has relocated from upstairs to my livingroom. She's all pumped up and ready to go. Maybe I will get home early enough today for a few miles.....

First step! Week 1 day1

I decided doing my sit ups with ball.
So came home and started looking for one which I never touched after moving to my new place. Inflated the ball and figured today should be day 1, so going to try from beginner level so mine was,

3 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 10

Wasn't too bad though I can feel it a little...more to find tomorrow !

Back to the beginning... 100 pushup challenge 2010 who's in?

Well, in utter dismay that I could not do even 10 good form pushups.... I am back at square one and starting over. I am going to work on better form; deeper pushups this time around. Even if it takes me a bit longer. I've also thrown in the 200 squat and 200 situp challenges along with it.

Hey April? Where are you? Someone should talk sense into me. Barry just shakes his head, rolls his eyes, laughs or some combo of the three.

After many false starts yesterday, and I had to Google the front leaning rest position, but your 10 and 10 ratio was just what it took. YAY! I may never lift my arms again, and I was going to do video but didn't think I'd pull it off so didn't get the camera out... oh well. Did you order your shirt?

100 Pushups/ Galloway Style!

Well I tried to do my pushup test Sun and on my 50th one my son jumped on my back and I just couldn't do it.

Mon. Tried to do it again and stopped @ 50. I think 50 is just a mental block so I woke up this Tues morning and vowed to do the 100 pushups- Galloway style.

After every 10 pushups I took a rest. I didn't get out of position but I just rested in the front leaning rest position(approved by the Army! LOL) I felt like I could have done more and then rested after my first 10 but I decided to stick with my ratio- 10 pushups, rest 10 seconds 10 more.

Today I finally completed 100!
